…and was the reason People’s Republic of China Zhao Ziyang was one of the most significant VIP visitors ever to the Center. The Villages were all heavily relandscaped during this time, the Mission Settlement opened, the new Ali’i Luau started up in the Hale Ohana — and the renovated Hale Aloha, the Tongan Village relocated to make way for what is now the Hawaiian Journey Theater, and Mana! was our new night show, followed by Horizons: Where the Sea Meets the Sky.
